*From 01 April 2019 under the staff pay and reward modernisation project, this role is graded at Grade 4 with a salary of £25,132 - £28,558. 

The Violence Reduction Unit is a high profile unique organisation that works to prevent violence in all of its forms. Critical to the success of the unit is the understanding of the picture of violence and the underlying causes. The analyst researcher provides research and analytical support to the unit to help to inform projects, policy, communications and strategy. This is no ordinary job and if you feel you have the right mix of skills, experience, ability and passion, we would welcome your application.

You will be educated to SVQ2, National Certificate, Higher level or equivalent qualification with experience in an analytical environment or where no formal qualifications exists, proven analytical experience in an equivalent environment is essential.

The Violence Reduction Unit and the post of analyst researcher are funded by the Scottish Government until 31st March 2019. Subject to successful grant negotiations with the Scottish Government the post will be extended to 31st March 2020.
